ExploreAccess Control, Intercom & Smart Locks
A video intercom at the gate that rings your TV and phone, smart locks with codes per person, and a log of who came and went. Convenient for you, useless to anyone else.
Overview
Access control and intercom for a home means video intercoms at the gate and doors, smart locks with per-person codes, gate and garage control, and a log of every entry, all reachable from the Control4 app and touchscreens anywhere in the world.
Estates and townhomes have the same access problem in different sizes: the gate, the front door, the garage, the service entrance, the housekeeper on Tuesday and the delivery at 9pm. We install video intercoms with crisp two-way audio, tie the gate operator and garage doors into the system, and put smart locks on the doors that matter, each with time-limited codes for staff, guests and contractors.
All of it lands in one place: the Control4 app or touchscreen. The gate bell pops the camera view on the TV you are watching; one tap opens it; the event is logged.
Capabilities
DoorBird and 2N intercoms at the gate and door with HD video, night vision, and calling to phones, touchscreens and TVs.
Open the gate, garage or pedestrian door from any device, on a schedule, or automatically as you arrive.
Yale, Schlage and Baldwin locks with individual codes and schedules for family, staff and guests.
Every open, code use and intercom call is logged with a snapshot.
Weather-rated keypads, fobs and phone-based credentials at the gate and service entrances.
One-time codes or a package-room release for couriers, without giving out the alarm code.
Scope
Yes. The intercom calls your phone anywhere with data, shows live video, and lets you open the gate or door. You can also set a schedule so it goes to the housekeeper instead.
Most standard doors, yes. For custom pivot doors, multipoint locks and commercial hardware we coordinate an electrified strike or a motorized lock body with your door supplier, ideally before the door is ordered.
Battery-powered smart locks keep working from their own batteries. Wired strikes and gate operators are on battery backup or the generator circuit and are fail-secure or fail-safe per your preference and fire code.
