UniFi Networks & Wi-Fi
Ubiquiti UniFi networks the whole smart home stands on: wired, segmented, monitored.
ExploreStructured Wiring & Prewire
Every smart home system stands on the cable in the walls. We design the low-voltage plan on your drawings, pull it clean, test and label every run, and leave conduit for whatever comes next.
Overview
Structured wiring is the organized, home-run low-voltage cabling installed in a home before drywall: Cat6A and fiber for data, feeds for lighting panels, keypads and shades, speaker wire, PoE runs for cameras and intercoms, and empty conduit for the future, all terminating in one documented rack room.
EZ Volt comes from a general contractor. We know what it costs to open a finished wall, and we know a rough-in crew that skips a run or leaves cables unlabeled creates a decade of problems. Our prewire scope starts with the plans: we mark every network drop, access point, camera, lighting panel feed, keypad, shade, speaker and touchscreen location on a low-voltage drawing, coordinate it with electrical and HVAC, and walk it with you and the builder before a single cable is pulled.
Then we pull it right. Cat6A to every device location and access point, fiber where distance or bandwidth demands it, home-run feeds from the Control4 lighting panels, keypad and shade wiring per the lighting design, speaker wire to every room and outdoor area, PoE runs to every camera and intercom, and conduit to key locations for the technology that does not exist yet. Everything terminates in a rack room with power, cooling and space, and everything is tested and labeled at both ends.
Inside the rack room
A conditioned rack with every system in it, labeled, on battery backup and monitored. The lighting panels sit on the wall beside it.
Control4 lighting panels
on the wall beside the rack: every lighting circuit home-run here, so the walls carry keypads only.
Capabilities
A drop-by-drop plan overlaid on the architect's set and reviewed with the owner, designer, builder and electrician before rough-in.
Cabling that supports 10 Gb today and whatever comes next. Fiber between buildings, floors and the rack; a UniFi network on top of it.
Home-run feeds for Control4 panelized lighting, keypad cabling and shade wiring run to the lighting design.
PoE to every camera position, gate and door intercom, with sealed exterior paths built for salt air.
Empty conduit to TVs, the roof, the gate and the dock so upgrades never require opening walls.
Every cable certified, labeled at both ends and mapped in an as-built you keep.
Scope
At design or permit stage, before electrical rough-in. That is when we can add the rack room, lighting panel locations, conduit and keypad boxes at no real cost. We can still come in at framing, but earlier is better.
That is exactly what prewire is for. We run cable and conduit to every plausible location so you can decide on cameras, shades or speakers after move-in without opening walls. Wire is inexpensive; access is not.
We work with your builder as the low-voltage subcontractor, and we are used to being on a schedule with other trades. If your project is with EZ BH Projects, we are already on the team.
