Whole-Home Audio

Whole-home audio that fills the house without filling it with speakers.

Architectural speakers in every room, landscape speakers around the pool, and one app where each family member plays what they want where they are.

Overview

Music in every room and on the dock, with speakers you never notice.

What it is

Whole-home audio is a multi-room music system with architectural in-ceiling, in-wall or invisible speakers in each zone, rack-mounted amplification, streaming from Control4 or Sonos, and independent control of source and volume per room, including outdoors.

Multi-room audio done well is nearly invisible: in-ceiling speakers with paintable micro-bezels, a subwoofer hidden in the millwork, and a keypad or the app to pick a source. Done poorly it is a row of bookshelf speakers on stands and a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. We design zone by zone, size amplification to the room, and run everything on a real network so nothing drops out mid-song.

Outdoors is where Miami homes actually live. We use 70V landscape speaker systems and marine-grade cabinet speakers that survive salt air, and we aim them so the sound stays on your property and off the neighbor's.

Capabilities

What whole-home audio does when it is designed right.

01

Architectural speakers

Flush in-ceiling and in-wall speakers with edgeless grilles, or fully invisible speakers behind paint or plaster.

02

Zone-by-zone control

Independent volume and source per room, groupable for a party. Control from keypads, touchscreens, the app or voice.

03

Streaming your way

Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, SiriusXM and TuneIn, via Control4 or Sonos.

04

Outdoor & pool audio

Landscape satellites and buried subwoofers around the pool and dock for even coverage at low volumes.

05

Hi-fi where it counts

A two-channel listening setup in the study or great room with real amplification, integrated into the same system.

06

Rack-based, not shelf-based

Amplifiers and streamers live in the equipment rack with ventilation, surge protection and labeled wiring.

Questions

Whole-Home Audio FAQ

Sonos or Control4 for audio?

Both work well and can coexist. Sonos is excellent for streaming and easy for guests; Control4 audio integrates more deeply with keypads, scenes and high-end amplification. Many homes use Control4 for architectural zones and Sonos as a source.

Can outdoor speakers handle the weather?

Yes, when they are designed for it. We specify marine-grade speakers with sealed drivers and stainless hardware, and we protect connections in sealed enclosures. Direct-burial subwoofers are rated for our rain and heat.

Can I add rooms later?

Easily, if the prewire is there. In new construction we recommend running speaker wire to every room and outdoor area even if speakers go in later. The wire is cheap; opening finished walls is not.
